Curious perching...

My beardie doesn't like it when I hold him in my hands very much. However, he DOES like it when I hold him against my chest or shoulder. Is this normal or is my beardie just picky? He seems to like my chest and shoulder more than my hands so does that mean he likes being closer to me or does it mean he just likes something firm to perch on? xD

He probably feels more secure on your shoulder or chest than when he's in your hands.

A few possible explanations occur to me:
1) Your hands might be colder than he is.
2) He prefers a higher perch.
3) Chests and shoulders don't move nearly as much as hands.

...The first one is probably plausible. My hands are generally cold XD
