Cupid Cuteness new pics 4/10

I just wanted to share some pics of Cupid starting with the day we got her. She has a nasty spunky lil attitude and I love her like crazy!

Right when my husband got her for me for valentines day!

climbing up my arm (a rare occasion she didnt try to bite me first! lol

two months after we got her

get this dang carrot away from me and clean my dirty house mommy! grrrrr!

fun in the bathtub lastnight! (wish i got a pic of the cuddles after, but if i put a camera in her face she always tries to eat it and i had finally gotten her to cuddle. so the cuddle time was private :wink: )

after lastnight we put her in her newly redone house with tile...and i forgot to get a pic of her IN IT! lol but here is a pic of the empty house right after we put the tile and stuff in it.

Many of you may remember how she has a history of being nasty! I have been working with her. She had several feedings today and a few times being held with the gloves. Then a bath this evening and I finally took the gloves off and went for it! this is what happend....

Cupid let me hold her and did not try to struggle or wiggle or bite. did not even open her mouth! then laid down on my chest and fell asleep for 15 min!

I am just so amazed by the progress that has been made. On your part as much as hers... perhaps as it would turn out she was just thirsty and didn't like her flooring?

Thank you! Your advice has helped us get to this point! and reading about others beardies has given me a goal. And I know she was dehydrated. All i had ever given her was a bowl of water... never gave her a bath til a few days ago! and she had a really good hydrate and shed. then she loves that i got rid of those darn rabbit pellets lol.
My husband came home from work today and saw me on the couch. he was like "what are you doing?" "cuddling with my baby" i replied. Cupid was passed out on my chest and i was chillin watching cartoons! lol. He was totally blown away! two weeks ago we could barely take the lid off her enclosure!

I cant express my excitement! Cupid is becoming the Bearded Dragon Ive always wanted her to be!! She plays and cuddles and seems so much happier...and yes still has attitude! i luv it!
we had bath time lastnight and once again she loved it. and will now actually sit in one place and let me take pics of her.

today i took her outside for the first time and she looooovvvees the sun!! She is so beautiful outside in the sunlight!! :love5:

then of course there is cuddle time. this is the first time of cuddle without any gloves anywhere near us, just a little blankie for warmth and she slept on my chest forever and let me stroke her head and back! (yes her head went strait to lay on my boob just like all my other kids lol)

Well we had fun today...Cupid and I had some time in the sun outside, and we also learned something.

Cupid hates my one year old daughter. She was fast asleep on my chest when my one year old came running into the room and jumped up onto the couch yelling "puppy mommy puppy!" pointing at Cupid (she thinks every living thing that is not a snake is a puppy). Poor dragon almost had a heart attack and i almost got bit! lol

Now Cupid just eyes my daughter from above and when she hears her cry or squeal she puffs her beard ....."gggrrrrr what is that little smelly loud human doing in here? arent i ur only daughter?" lol

Wonder if this has anything to do with her not eating today? offered her crickets twice and she wouldnt eat even one. then gave her a nice yummy salad and even a little grapes...nothing. oh well, she stuffed herself yesterday so im not worried yet!

Been holding Cupid all weekend and even got my husband and my brother in law to hold her too! She loves going outside, and taking a bath still.
Im interested in seeing how much she weighs and how long she is exactly so im planning on measuring and weighing her tomorrow.

My favorite part of the weekend was when she found her favorite place! no matter where she is, if she can somehow climb my arm or my chest she will get to this spot and stay there. if you remove her u get an agitated look and a puffy beard and she wiggles her way back up! considering her past of being a bit agressive, it does alarm me a bit how close her "fav place" is to my throat...shes not planning anything is she? lol
well here is a pic. it was so dark and my phone doesnt have flash, so it sucks but you can see her on my chest in her spot. she kinda reminds me of one of those lil animals you stick to the inside window of your car with suction cups...she just hangs there from my shirt! lol

I bet you can gently lay your head down so she snuggles and cuddles into your neck. I have a picture of Seka doing this if you want to see. :wink:
