Crooked tail???

My 1yr old beardie Spyke's tail is very crooked. It doesn't seem to cause him any trouble and it's been like that since I got him. [He was just a baby when I got him.] I haven't seen any other beardies with this same problem, which leads us to my question... Is it normal for his tail to be this crooked and if not, what could be causing/have caused the crooked-ness?
His tail also has bumps like where it turns at.

There are only 2 scenarios that it could be, he could have been born with a genetic defect from inbreeding, or he has metabolic bone disease & his tail has developed crooked due to low calcium & insufficient UVB exposure.
Since you said his tail was like that when you got him, he was most likely either born from inbred parents, or the mother was severely hypocalcemic when he was born leaving him to be hypocalcemic when he was hatched which caused his tail to grow improperly. His bones just did not develop correctly.
What type & brand of UVB do you use, is it a flourescent tube bulb, or a compact or coil bulb? How old is your UVB light?
How often do you give calcium supplementation?

He is on a new diet as perscribed by the vet, I'm not sure what the name of the food is. But, it's made Rep-Cal [the same people who make the Herptivite and Calcium that I did use]...It's specifically for Juvie Dragons. He's been on that for about a month. Supposedly it has everything in it, but I'm not sure.
