Crixus laid eggs...????

I went on vacation for a few days and came home to 13 eggs in Crixus viv... I had someone feeding her and they said there were originally 18... she has dried yolk on her mouth and feet, why would she eat them, do they have nutritional value at all??

Hi there....what a surprise huh ? Well, beardies with a good appetite will try anything,[ just in these forums there are posts about loose dragons eating coins, tinsel, rubber bands, plastic bags, etc ] so it's not unusual at all if she had no laying material and the eggs were scattered there like little jelly beans and looked like something to eat. They would have some nutritional value, being full of calcium and other minerals. As for the yolk on her feet, beardies dig + kick while they go through the motions of covering up the eggs, so she would have probably busted a few of them.

Keep her well fed, lots of calcium and a good drink. She should be fine !
