Have recently got a dragon for the first time and on the advice of the previous owner am feeding him black crickets. when I bought then some of them have died and others have died in the tank since. do dragons like dead crickets or should I be throwing away the dead ones?

Hey there,

My bearded dragon, Mojo, will not touch anything dead. He will only eat live insects, he won't even eat dead ones that come in cans or those pre-made diets. I do not like the look of dead crickets so I just throw them out. I do not know if they possess any kind of health risk but I would throw them away. Congrats on the beardie!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
