Crickets,questions?

okay so i am now buying bulk crickets for Zilla and at first i had no casualties but now when theres almost none left there seems to be a lot of deaths,they always have food and water crystals,the heat is usually 70 degrees because i have no heat on them,do you think i should put a heat light on?and if i do doesn't the light mess with them or something?

70 is fine for crickets, they don't really need extra heat. What size do you have and how long do you have them before they start dieing? If they are adults and you have them for a couple of weeks then it could be they are just dieing of old age.
Also, what kind of lid do you use? They need a lot of ventilation, they die off with high humidity.

It's hit or miss with mine....Sometimes I can go for a long time without having many casualties and then the next time there are alot. I put alot of fruits and veggies in there, I cut up oranges and kiwis, stalks from veggies the dragons get, water crystals and dog food! I keep alot of stuff in there and that seems to help. They tend to snack on each other too, so every evening I usually shake out the crates over by the food so they eat food rather than each other!!! haha! Make sure you have enough hiding spaces too that way they don't climb all over each other too

the lid is a square of wood with window screen from the the screen part and i buy 3 weeks,small size and they start dieing after 2-3 weeks after that and their not even full grown..
