Crickets eating the tank

I just threw a bunch of crickets into the dragon viv and watched as they climbed up the silicone on the sides, as they normally do. But this was my first time noticing that they were eating the silicone at the top. There is a noticeable trail made by the crickets mouth. I was wondering if this normal behavior. Also, is there anything that I can do to discourage the eating of my viv? I don't want to have re-siliconing the viv as a normal activity. Can anyone recommend another substance to coat the silicone in that the crickets wont eat, which is also dragon safe and requires little curing time?

GOtta hand it to you, that's one I've never heard of before. I used to raise crickets in aquariums.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
