cricket size...

my bearded dragon is 7 inches, so i buy him small crickets, but every once in a while a few large ones will be in with the small ones... he seems to like the bigger ones better though.. when one goes in by accident, he'll go right after that one.. when the little crickets are in his tank, he goes after a few and then lets them walk up to him, and if they dont, he wont eat them... he seems to go after the bigger ones much more... so should i buy the large ones even though he's a pretty small beardie?... or would that not be a good idea...

Stick with the smaller crickets, too large of one can cause a impaction.

ok, thanks.. he gets them by accident ever once in a while, i cant really control what the pet store gives me, a ask for small... do u think thats ok?.. like one big one ever week or 2...

Nope, dont give him the bigger ones (I often had to pick out the too big ones) the feeders should ALWAYS be SMALLER than the space between the lizards eyes

The occasional big one shouldn't cause any issues; just try your best to give smaller ones. My dragon has eaten a lot of crickets that were a bit too big for her and never had problems with impaction.
