Hello :). I have a 10 gallon tank and when I get the crickets I cut the box open and dump the crickets out. I get a couple that excape but other then that they all tend to stay in the tank

Do the transfer in your bathtub, that way even if you miss the storage tub when you dump them out they can't escape anywhere.

Ive tried it 3 different ways & this one is the best. When I had to do the cricket thing i put them in a 10 gal aquarium w a sparse layer of aspen shreds @ the bottom. It helped w the smell & health of the crickets. The bathtub was the easiest catch all there is. Just give a few shipments & you'll be a professional cricket wrangler. My first go @ crickets was quite the comedy skit :)

We have kept crickets by the thousand because of our two adult gluttons, and have tried a variety of collection situations. The one that worked best was the one described here http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1350844, which you can do on a much smaller scale if you want. We've learned though, that the crickets will readily climb into any black tube, so that's the easiest way to get them out of their container and in to the beardies at dinner time. If you don't happen to have the tubes that come with a cricket keeper (which work well because they have clear plastic caps you can block one end with) you can get tubing at any home store and cut it to size.

Since I used to use a 10 gal for my crickets I just threw in 2 papertowel tubes & left them in there. They like dark places so I had more than enough in a tube for a feed. I blocked one side w my hand & just shook them into a ziplock to dust n dump in.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
