Cracking back!!

I have noticed lately that my 1 year old BD has what looks like a "crack " going across his back, it looks like it in-between his scales. He still eats and is active and if i pet him or touch over the era it does not seem to bother him.
never seen it before and just a worried daddy

Kind of hard to see bc he is shedding. he has had this well before he started shedding though

I'd guess it was part of the shed but if it was there before the shed, I'd wait to see if it comes off with the shed or if it comes off with a good soak. It looks like a stain or deposit of some sort. It doesn't look harmful though, it looks like it's superficial to me.

Hi, I wonder if it might be 2 sheds in that one particular area, sometimes that happens. Hopefully all will be normal once the shed is over. Please keep us updated.

Hello,

I agree, it looks like a shed or a shed that has overlapped some. It should eventually come off. You can try a few more frequent baths to see if that helps to loosen things up.
I doubt it is bothering him any though.

Thank you to all. This is my first BD ever, actually my first retile ever!! have a few more question but won't bug anyone on this forum!
