Covering sides of the tank

I currently have the sides and back of my beardie's glass tank covered with black construction paper because I hear it helps them acclimate to a new environment. I'm wondering, do you keep it on... forever? Or do you take it off after a certain period? Ideally, I'd like to buy a nice background for the back, but I do want to take the sides off (especially so I can see her from my couch). I'm just wondering when it's a good time to do it.

It depends on your dragon.

Many dragon's kind of freak out if they can see their reflections in the glass.

For those guys, you'll need to keep the sides and back covered to reduce their reflections as much as possible.

Some don't seem to care, and if yours doesn't care, then feel free to remove the backing.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
