Hi,

Would anyone be kind enough to look at this product and tell me if it would be safe to seal a viv with? We are making plans to make a double stacked viv and I am having trouble figuring out what to use in the UK.

what are you making it out of??

Its much easier to get furniture board (aka conti board or melamine coated flat board) and seal the corners with aquarium sealant.

I'm building new vis as well, but when I looked into melamine it was waaaay too heavy for what I wanted to build for the beardies, so ended up with plywood. I did a bit of looking around and the thing that is safest for sealing wood is a water-based sealant, not oil-based because oil-based stuff just keeps emitting fumes for a long time. And that is water-based, so I think you're good.

If you feed your beardie in the wooded viv.. and your feeding crickets.. be careful crickets can climb the wood and hide behind the light fixtures. I would feed out of the viv.
