Could it fall off? [PIC]

My beardie is about 4 months old now he shed maybe 2 weeks ago and now his tail is like a gray colour and looks really strange
it looks like it's been covered in PVA glue and left to set...the rest of him is normal.
The end of his tail (well what's left of a tail) is black/blue at times, it's been like that since i got him. his tail is about 1/4 of the actual size it's supposed to be because it was nipped at birth.
When i touch it he doesn't really seem to bother so doesn't seem in pain and when i run my finger down it he seems to want to relax and fall asleep.
Could he be shedding again after only 2 weeks? he's growing really fast but i thought it they shed on a monthly basis not a weekly one.
he's eating fine and is constantly active.

It sounds like a shed and yes, he could be shedding again especially if he is growing fast. If you could post a picture, it would really help tell for sure.

heya hanks for your reply, these pics arent the best quality but it's all i could get, you can see the waxy sort of coating it has, it's never done this before when he's shedding, he's only shed 2 times whilst in my care so

Thats just shed. My beardies head looked like that before he shed the other day

As they get older, the skin gets thicker and the shed takes on a more waxy appearance. As a adult, they can almost turn white the shed is so thick.
