Could a human initiate beardie behaviour?

Hey guys, I'm starting this thread because I have a question about behaviour, that doesn't really fit into my thread about Baby.

My little guy, Baby, is a few months old, and he's never done any beardie behaviour, not arm waving, head bobbing, puffing, anything!
Yes I admit, I did just sit in front of Baby's cage, head bobbing and arm waving.. all I got were some stink eyes!

And I was just curious, if your beardie saw you 'arm waving' or some other kind of their behaviour, do you think they could understand it, and maybe even respond? I'd love him to show some of those typical behaviours!

I dont know that they would respond to us doing those specific behaviours. But, they certainly do respond to us - sometimes we can be quite scary to them which might cause a wave. Other times, they bob to let us know 'this is MY house' lol!
It sounds silly but when Kazi was little and learned to bob, I would bob back at him and he always stopped bobbing (for a few minutes at least). Travis is yet to bob... he still thinks hes an ickle baby!

Haha, it sounds cruel, but I kinda want Baby to be intimidated just so I can see his cute little arm wave, of course I won't though.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only mental one around here, trying to join in on beardie behaviour ;)

Yes, they can. Chief gives kisses!! He was our first beardie so we had a lot of time to play with him, and my husband kissed and kissed and kissed and did the tongue-taste on his nose just like a beardie does, and now if you give Chief a kiss he will taste you back! LOL! It's very cute.

Chief has learned that kisses are positive things. He will kiss and kiss and kiss when we wants to be cuddley and when he doesn't want to go back in his home. LOL He will NOT kiss if he is mad at us. He will not kiss if he wants his freedom and doesn't want cuddles. He is totally aware that the kiss is something we give when we are happy. LOL

I've actually heard of some people getting their beardies to head bob or arm wave by using their hand!! They would put their hand in the shape of a beardies head kinda, as if you were using a hand puppet or like making a duck beak with your hand, with thumb up by fingers :p haha then bobbing that up and down! I've even heard of them using their pinky finger as an arm and doing an arm wave and getting a response!! I'm not sure if this would actually work...maybe some beardies are smarter than others...lol! But it would be neat if it did!

When I want my Fred to take his medicine or drink some water, I make sure he's facing me. Then I drop the liquid on his nose. If he does not drink, I stick out my tongue and smack my lips. Then he gets the idea. :D

When I see Yoshi do a head bob (directed at Aurora) I will do it to be silly but he doesn't pay mind to it. LOL

As for kisses, what I do is stick my nose to their nose and make the kiss sound. And after awhile, when I do that, they stick their tongue out and like my nose as their way of kisses.

I'm thinking that Yoshi must have liked the smell of my mint gum because today I got him out and as I started talking to him, he stuck his tongue out and tried to lick me. lol

I can usually always get my male Darkon to defend his title as alpha male by bobbing my head at him.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
