I spent easily over a hundred for Jericho per month for the first 3 months on crickets and worms But he was such a pig. I have tracked every single thing he has eaten every day for 6 months now and he's finally eating a lot more greens which is saving me tons. He still eats crickets and supers and greens so at this point the crickets are much larger so he eats less and the cost is the same as the smaller ones. Every dragon is different. Some are pigs like Jericho eating over one hundred crickets a day as well as up to 40 worms the same day. From my own research and talking to people on here I found his appetite was pretty extreme

I just have one bearded dragon, Dregan. His tank set up was $220 and he was $85. Then I found the forums and realized the pet store sold me a lot of the wrong things so it was another $80-90 to get that sorted out and it was too long since the purchase to return anything. Crickets were running $30 a week- the local pet shop would sell me 300 but throw in double that amount. Eventually, I started buying 1000 online and he became sick with parasites a couple weeks later so the vet was $160 for the fecal, exam and 2 meds. I just paid another $26 to retest the fecal once his meds were over (he came back clear, yay!) He's an expensive little critter but I sure do adore him. :) He's being kinda cranky today though because he's busting out of his skin... I would think having to shed would make me cranky too so I feel for him. I can whole heartedly say that the pet store glossed over the day to day cost and said it would be all upfront with his enclosure and himself. They made it seem like he'd only eat 15-20 crickets a day tops and he's in the 85-100 range daily.

I have 4 bearded dragons 2 males 2 females 2 of my 4 foot tanks each was 299.99 my 40 gallon was 85 got it from a good friend. My other 4 foot cost me 65 for the glass.
Bearded dragons were between 89.99- 250$. Lighting is alot of money when you first get started. alomst 200.00 for all 4 of them and then the basking lights I use are 11.00 for 2 they are flood lights.
Food hornworms are 1.49 each I usually get 2 doz a week. Supers 1000 for 36.00 after discount 32.00 works out to less then 7cents.
veggies every 2 weeks is 3.99 for 100 grams I get 300 grams.
Then of course the vet bills fecal tests, vitamins. I do my own fecals now thanks to Cheryl. Also have my own medicine.

its alot but its so worth it in the long run and now I have a colony of supers and raise them myself.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
