Cost of antibiotics or anti parasite medicine??

Sometime around June 3rd, Justin and I will have money to take him to a vet(Banfield Animal Hospital). We know the cost for office, visit, exam fees and fecal test. But incase he does have a parasite or infection, how much do you think the medicine would cost? We are trying to get a rough idea of the total cost plus and then bring a bit more money than that so we can cover his vet visit and medication(s) if any. Thank you!

Also, for the fecal test, is it okay if the poop is scooped out of the water? I have set aside a tiny, clean piece of Tupperware to put it in. Most of the time, he potties in the water or on the edge of the dish.

A couple of months ago my brother and I took his bearded dragon Leo in to the vet. He wasn't eating, wasn't moving, and his eyes were sunken in. The vet gave him fluids and did the fecal sample. The total vet bill was about $202.00. And they sent us home with an antibiotic which alone was $45.00.

Please make sure that if your beardie needs antibiotics, that you make sure he takes it with food. Make him eat if he doesn't do it voluntarily. If he doesn't eat while taking antibiotics, it will rip through his insides and ultimately will be a painful ordeal.

Some vets will do a fecal without having to see him. You could call around and see if there is one in your area. They normally run under $20.

Banfield does fecals for $9.20 but the vet prob does need to give him fluid. Thank you for your reply and I will remember to give him food with his meds.
