Taken from Wikepedia "Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattaria or Blattodea, of which about 30 species out of 4,500 total are associated with human habitats. About four species are well known as pests." Any of the roaches that are used as feeders are not the pests species. Dubias will not eat wood or infest. They do not need their own lights but they do need a heat source. The most popular is a heating pad that their container is put on top of.

Can they climb walls?

they can't climb smooth surfaces. They don't jump, fly, or bite. I put them in a small metal bowl when I feed my beardie and they can't climb out.

Try breeding crickets in a small cricket cage it will be cheaper and you won't have to go to the pet shop all the time
