Hello, I just got some new replacement bulbs for my beardie's heat lamp. Nox's tank is roughly 36w x 18d x 16h. I have a dome lamp with a ceramic base, and I have a reptisun 10 UVB as well. The heat bulbs I got are GE 100w halogen floodlights, and the packaging specified "outdoor." I got these bulbs at Walmart in a 2-bulb value pack for about $9; when I bought them I didn't notice that the package said they were for outdoor use. Will these bulbs be okay to use for my beardie? While I want his tank to be the right temperature (about 10 degrees hotter than it has been), I also don't want to cook him!
I got an Accu-Rite thermometer earlier this summer, also from Walmart, so that I could make sure how hot Nox's tank is.
Please help! Thanks!
