Or inches.....pardon my ignorance :roll: Oh....I see it in the background, you will need a much larger container....at least as long as her body, about 18" by 10" by 7-8 deep.

You're welcome.! It's good if you can tuck it under the platform like you have in the picture there, makes her feel secure + hidden like she would be digging a nest in the wild....just leave enough room for her to get in.

Looks like a girl to me. Since she is still eating quite a few feeders, she more than likely isn't ready to lay yet. Also, when they get close, they start passing frequent small urates. Make sure you give her calcium daily to help with the possible egg production.

It's true that they usually don't eat for the 2-3 days [ on average ] before laying, but sometimes they will eat right up to the time of laying. One more thing , once in a while they will go through all the motions and not even have eggs to lay . Time will tell !
