A few minutes ago I looked up from my computer and saw Quinn doing something really weird. She kept puffing up her beard really big and then her chest would constrict and she would throw her head down. I was mortified, to be honest. I thought she was going to throw up, which from what I've heard isn't pretty. I got up and opened her cage and began lightly stroking her beard and back, which seemed to help. Then I scooped her up and got her some fresh water to see if she would drink, I thought that might help her a bit more.
She seems better now, but every few minutes her beard will puff up big again and she seems far more alert than normal.
Any idea what could've caused this?
Quinn is about 8/9 weeks old now. She has a basking light and an ardacida D3 12% UVB. Solid substrate. She eats about 20-30 crickets a day. Her temps are a bit high (113 in basking spot, 95ish on hot side, 80ish on the cool side) because it's really hot today but she insists on basking.
Should I be worried? Is it just the heat? It is very hot today, I've been closing monitoring the reptiles.
