Conflicting information on Phoenix Worms

I saw the helpful post about keeping and growing Phoenix worms, and it said to keep the worms at a warm temperature, otherwise they wouldn't live as long. But I saw on the phoenix worms website to keep them at 50-60 degrees, because at room temp they only live a few weeks. So I'm confused - keep them warm or cool?
Thanks guys!

If you want them to last a long time then they should be kept at 52F. They will go dormant at this temp and can live 4-5 months. If they are kept at room temp or warmer then they pupate into moths in just a couple weeks.

The information on optimal temperature isn't conflicting -- both answers are correct, depending on how you intend to keep your worms:

Option 1: If you do not wish to feed or grow your worms, keep them in their original cups at 50 to 60 degrees. This will slow down their metabolic rate, and allow them to live as long as possible without eating.

Option 2: If you wish to feed and grow your worms, follow the directions exactly, and keep them cozy warm. Feed them to your dragon when they grow big and plump.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
