i have had my beardie for almost a year and i believe she is around a year of age
last time i measured she was 19 inches and last time weighed was 116 in sept of 09 by the vet
lately she has stopped eating as much and eats crix about once a day or once every two days i have veggies in there all day long but im not always there to see her eat them and she also now poops about once every two days and the urate is half white half yellow and poop is solid i got a new uvb bulb reptisun 10 like two weeks ago i was just wondering why she slowed down so much and also sometimes i hear a weez coming from her like after a bath or when eating crix i have the reptaid but im not sure onto how much to give her cause i dont know her exact wight and she also didnt shed since novemberish

They do eat and poop alot less as they get older, i should worry to much..
Is she quite thin? the weight seems a little low?
The wheezing: if its after shes eaten , it means shes eaten too much and if it persists you need to see the vet ,
but if its in the bath i could be a respiratory problem?

alright and shes not that thin avg size the weight was taken before the 19 inch mark and alright i didnt know eating to much would do that and thats what i was thinking but not sure and thank you for the bump

Hello,

If you feel that your dragon may have a slight respiratory issue, it would be a good idea to keep the tank a little warmer at night, around 80 or so, & make sure the humidity levels are lower than 30% for a little while.
Sometimes they can wheeze a little bit if they eat too much at one sitting. At his age, he will start slowing down on his eating pretty soon since he is getting close to full grown now. Is he eating a good amount of greens then?
If the wheezing noises persist, it would be a good idea to get him checked out to make sure he doesn't have a respiratory infection that is getting worse.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree about your dragons weight. If you truly mean 116 grams then it is too thin in my opinion giving the dragons age. My 9 month old dragon weighs 335 grams.Maybe it's just gonna be a small dragon,but most dragons weigh more than 116 grams at one year old.

I am so sorry!!!I just went back and re-read your first post,I didn't have my glasses on when I read it earlier and I thought it said she was a year old and weighed Saturday(Sat) I thought,wow 116 for a year old beardie. That'll teach me to read the board without my glasses. Please forgive my worry,I just love beardies and couldn't understand. I need to put my glasses on when I read.

today after i fed her she closed her eyes and gave a big puff (kind of when we inhale alot and just let it out) i out her up on her hammock near the light and she did a small one so i picked her up and she went on my shoulder and did it again
may it be cause she just ate and there was alot of water in the crickets? should i get superworms?
and i have to probe thermometers but both give me dif readings one would be 97 and the other 107
and humidity in low mid 30s
if this is a respiratory infection what will the vet do
cause i do have the reptaid thats suppose to help with RI should i give her some?
and she is only pooping maybe once every two days no sometimes three eating crickets every other day and barely touching her veggies maybe once or twice a week
any input would be helpful until i get more cash for the vet
