I'm concerned about my bearded dragons tail. I've noticed it has a slight "kink" in it and now more are slowly developing. I just looked at pictures of him and the one closest to the base was the first to develope and i've only really noticed the kinks for the last 3-4 months but looking at pictures I can see it starting to develope 4-3-2010 But only very slightly.
Here's a rundown of his setup:
90 gallon tank
Zilla Desert Series 50 (18") UVB (just replaced today old one was about 10months old)
Zoo med 100 watt basking light
gets about 8-9" from lights and they stay on for about 12 hours a day.
He gets fed a salad everyday consisting of collard or mustard greens. Generally i put zilla food spray calcium on it because im usually in a hurry in the mornings but sometimes i will use T-rex dragon dust veggie maintenance. Then everyother day he either gets giant mealworms in his salad covered in the spray or dusted in T-rex insect cricket balancer. Or he gets as many gutloaded crickets as he wants (20-25) in addition to the salad covered in T-rex ICB. Once a week I use Herptivite dust on his crickets or giant mealworms. He is always eager to eat but is very picky about any veggies i put on the salad so i generally dont use them. His behavior has not changed at all. He still poops regularly and hates his baths but has no problem with movement. He grew up being fed butterworms, phenix worms, mealworms, crickets, silkworms, hornworms (all dusted) and salads although until the last year or so never ate the salads. I also had a compact desert series 50 UBV light when he was little until I got concerned reading about problems with it then I went to the Slimline one so he's only had that one for about a year and a half. I really hope its not MBD or something....
He was born 7-5-08
Is 18" long
Weighs 484g
