Ok it has been awhile since I have posted about Alvin as things have been going pretty well up until the last couple weeks. He has always been a lazy eater (I have to feed him everything (my fault as I started that when he was little). But he has been a fairly good eater in that he will eat his crickets and super worms (he is 18") really well and he eats his vegies really well. He has been and still is a regulary 1x/day pooper in his bath so no worries there.
However, over the last couple of weeks he has only been willing to eat 1 or 2 crickets and 1 or 2 worms until the last few days he won't eat any. He is still eating some vegies. I have been feeding him chicken and beef baby food and he is eating that up with no problems. He is still pooping and acting normal mostly. He is (we think) about 7.5 weeks old so I doubt he is going into brumation. However, do they slow down when it starts to get cold out without going into brumation at his age?
Should I continue to feed the baby food? I bought some of those canned crickets and if I put baby food on it he will open up and eat it with a little coaxing. Is that ok? Is he at the age where they quit eating protien all the time? Heat temp on his basking is between 95 and 100 and the other side high 70's. I am using a T-Rex Active which will not have 6 months on it until next month. He never has been real active (lazy as I say), so that hasn't changed much.
Please let me know what you think or if I should be worried.
Thank you,
Christine
