Hello, I recently have rescued a bearded dragon. He's a year and a half old. His owners used to take care of him but eventually just gave up. His lights were broken and they had stopped feeding him. When I took him in I got him a 40 gallon tank and the proper lighting. He didn't move much at first but eventually he got some movement back and has been pretty active. I feed him greens, chopped green bell peppers, super worms, and dusted crickets. I also dust his greens with calcium for an added boost. He eats regularly now and is active. Sometimes it seems he gets a little backed up so I give him apple slices with olive oil and warm baths and massage his stomach to help unblock everything. What concerns me is his mouth. He has a lopsided bite and his teeth seemed to have grown irregularly, they kind of protrude out of his mouth. Inside his mouth is kind of a yellowish color, not sure if that's a health color or not. At first I thought that it was mouth rot and so I got some antibiotic drops and rubbed an antibiotic cream on the side of his mouth but now I'm not so sure. He seems healthy and he's active and I'm worried that this could lead to an infection or perhaps there's already an infection? I'm just wondering if I should take him to a vet, but I wanted some advice before I took him because honestly I can't really afford it.
