Colors? New bearded dragon owner.

Hello! I've had a bearded dragon for about 3 months and I've noticed he changes colors on occasion, sometimes he's a dark green and other times he's almost a yellow. Is this normal?

Yellowish color (lighter irl)

They grow lighter and darker depending on a few things. Their mood can be reflected by lighter and darker colors. They will also darken to help absorb heat/light (they will also pancake out to increase surface area). They will lighten to deflect light if they're content. This is natural behavior and it's just how they regulate their exposure to light and temperature.
