Coccidia help!

Hey! Okay so I found out today that my beardies have worms. One has pinworms and the other has coccidia. I'm concerned more about the coccidia. The vet gave me meds for both but I am looking for information on how to sanitize his cage decorations. Someone told me to use bleach and water but I read in multiple places that coccidia is resistant to bleach and to use ammonium chloride. I'm not sure where I would get that but I do have that wipe out 1 spray but I guess I would just spray everything down and wait 10 minutes then rinse in hot water?

Anyone have experience with this that could possibly help me?

So far I have sprayed the tank with lysol and let it sit 20 minutes then wiped it out really good. And i took everything out of both tanks and put newspaper down as bedding. Please help! Lol

Bleach isn't effective against Coccidia oocysts.
Not sure what is in Lysol.... Would rinse the tank out very well with fresh water...

Steam is effective, handheld steamers are easy to get.
Quaternary Ammonium (QUAT) products are also effective. I use F10 but sometimes it's hard to get. It goes a long way and I've hardly made a dent in my bottle. I think wipe out is a QUAT so that is probably your best bet, use as directed on the label. I think it has detergent and may need to be rinsed. More on QUATs: viewtopic.php?p=1195300

Good plan switching the newspaper - make sure to remove the paper once it is soiled. I use cardboard boxes when treating for parasites - just throw them away if they get soiled.

Okay thanks so much! The wipe out says to leave on for 5 minutes then rinse but I think I am going leave it on a little bit longer than that. I have to buy some more when I go to my work later on today.
