Clipping nails

Well Shenrons nails are like sharp little razors, and I know that tile helps to keep them dull (but my new cage is not done yet, and as of right now I use shelf liner as a substrate) soo I wanted to somehow clip/file his nails. Any tips/pointers from anyone who takes care of sharp nails without the use of tile to help file them down, like how far to clip them back, or even to try and use a nail-file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can trim them down the same as you would with a cat or a dog, most people say that regular human finger nail clippers work best. Just be sure not to cut them too short, stay away from the quick of the nail (white part near base)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
