Just wondering how I should clean out the bin. I have been having some medical issues going on for a while now and have not been able to clean the bin to where it needs to be. There is roach poop build up everywhere. I have baby roaches in it sifting through it and such. How can I get rid of the roach poop and not get rid of the baby roaches also? any ideas?

It's really not that big of an issue. First off the babies eat the adults poo for the nutrients in it, so you want to have some in the bottom. Second if it is a little deep it gives an other large hiding space for them to hide. I keep mine with about 2 inches of poo in the bottom. I will sift some of it out once a week and pull out as many of the molts as I can when ever I add food and water jell.

The way I sift it out is I have a Cottage Cheese tub, one of the larger ones, and it has the bottom of it covered in 1/8" holes drilled into it. Just scoop some up and shake over an other tub or trash pail. The poo will fall out and not even the smallest nymph can make it through the 1/8" holes.

I average 21,000 nymphs a month, so I just grab an egg flat and pick off the sizes I need to feed off! I feed my baby leopard geckos fresh molted roaches just smaller than their head. When they hut 30 grams they will take down a fresh molted adult male!

So you recommend 30 grams for a good weight to start feeding adults to leo's?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
