Cleaner Crew issues

I recently ordered, and received, the "Cleaning Crews" for my dubia colony. When I opened the containers, I had 10 mealworms in a bunch of debris...no larvae, beetles, just mealworms! I was advised by the company to wait 2weeks for movement that what I got must contain eggs. It's clearly marked on the company's site that the small container will contain mealworms, but also have 100-500 cleaners in various life stages.

Has anyone else experienced this?????? Any suggestions would be a help thanks.

Yes, my husband is still pretty annoyed at being ripped off by a company that sold cleaner crews. :silent: That was months ago and we had no replacement shipment as promised. :silent: Bummer.

the cleaner crews are great and all, but they eat and poop, too. Nothing beats thorough cleaning and disinfecting every once and a while. The same with the reptiles' cages.

I'd demand either a refund or a replacement with actual hatched out cleaners.

Good luck. I demanded both of these and got neither. West Coast is a SCAM artist. He tells you to wait a few more weeks so that it will be too late to file a report with Paypal and get your refund.

Our bins are cleaner than some people's houses, but it still would be nice to have what was ordered and paid for.

I immediately wrote them, demanding replacement with hatched cleaners...I was told that I would have a shipment sent out Monday, so I'll give it until Friday...I will then file with Paypal, and BBB. We do clean the bins regularly, every week or so. I guess what they say is true, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is! Lesson learned

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
