Okay, so just about everyone who found out I got this little girl wanted to kill me because I swore I wouldn't buy any more dragons after raising the 35ish babies from Kora. Well....I absolutely could not help myself. My boyfriend just about had a coronary and a few other people actually don't even know about her yet but oh well! She is too damn cute to resist LOL
Jeff from Citrus Dragons in CA shipped this little beauty to me a few weeks ago. She is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a dragon! I've always been in love with citrus trans. The hypo is just the icing on the cake I absolutely love yellow dragons. She has the SWEETEST little round face that melts me every time I look at her. And her black eyes are stunning. Oh, and her name is Esme (pronounced Ez-may) meaning "to love" :love5:
We had a rough start though. She wanted to eat me alive any time I came near her cage and I got a few nice bites from her. She also had horrible relocation stress and wouldn't eat a thing for about 2 weeks. (Hey, I don't blame the chick, she came from beautiful warm CA to dreary and snowy Delaware). She had to be syringe fed and she is just now starting to eat on her own. She's turning into a little piglet slowly but surely. She now has a great little pot-belly. She's totally friendly now and warming up wonderfully. One thing she does love is bath time. She totally chills out and loves a nice warm soak. She's a little smaller than I'm used to but being trans I guess that's expected...she's not as big as my German Giant babies were but we'll try to get her up there! She will hopefully be bred when she's big and healthy enough!
The flash was hurting her little black eyes...I need to stop taking close ups!
Showing off her REALLY trans belly. Her stress marks are actually a translucent yellow as well as her beard!
