Hi,
Yesterday i noticed some small circular lumps on my bearded dragons head on his left side just below the mouth. Im getting rather concerned as this is the first beardie i have owned and it has been very successful until now, I would be really grateful if somebody could identify the lumps and tell me whether they are serious or not and how/if you can get rid of them.

Thank you very much for your time,

Hi Will,
It looks like either some type of tick or maybe a fungus. I freely admit im guessing. Ive never seen it before.

I agree it has a tick-like appearance. Hmmmm...I never really thought about a beardie being able to be bothered by something like a tick.

Hello,

It does look somewhat like ticks, but that is not extremely common. Have you taken him outside lately, or do you have some type of loose substrate that he possibly could have picked up any ticks?
Try bathing him in diluted betadine first, & use a toothbrush to see if you can gently remove the spots.
What do you feed him, it wouldn't be food would it? I don't think it looks like food or fruit seeds, etc, I just thought I would add that for a possiblity.

Thanks for your replies, They are definitely not seeds as we don't give him anything with black/brown seeds. In his tank he has a log and water dish that have been in there for a good year or so and we use red exo terra desert sand. These ticks seem very well attached as i tried knocking them off this morning, is there any type of medicine that will remove them?

Yes if they are ticks you can try putting a little bit of mineral oil all over the ticks. It will suffocate them and they should fall off.Good luck!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
