Choking on water?

Hi, My older Beardie Kami ( roughly 6 years old), every time she drinks water for a few hours after it she like coughs and wheezes whilst kind of jerking up but then goes completely back to normal. I'm getting really worried about this and was wondering if anyone knows if the waters just going down the wrong way or if it's something more serious. Everything in her Viv is okay temp wise etc. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, how often does Kami drink + how long does she take while drinking ? Some beardies do cough after a big drink, you might try offering water dripped on her snout daily or every few days to let her lap up the drops that roll in her mouth.

She drinks her water maybe every 3 days but takes big drinks maybe lasting for around a minute. I do try to drop some on her snout every day but it seems to make her more thirsty and she ends up taking bigger drinks and then coughing again.
