Our family recently went on a two week vacation. We had a good friend taking care of BD and a couple days before our return we ran out of crickets. He was on veggies for two days before he got back on his normal diet. His stools got a little soft and seem to smell a little worse. Our neighbor, who is a vet, said it could be the change in diet and to wait a few days. Does this sound normal? Also, do beirdies know when their owners are gone, I know other animals do, I was just wondering.

Yes that sounds normal, when they eat a lot of veggies tend to make their stools more soft and runny. Wait a few days and if they don't get back to normal then I would have a fecal done.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
