CHE-red or black?

I need to get a CHE but I have come across something and I have to ask....I have seen a red one and a black one, BOTH of which say no light emits from them. Does the red one really not show any light?? I've found it for almost half of the price and I don't want to get the wrong thing AGAIN. Thanks.

Che's shouldn't come in any color..

Can you find a pic of what you are talking about online and post it up for us?

My thoughts exactly Brandon, that's why I wanted to ask. I saw them in Petco originally then found this earlier....

I'm kind of confused. What you linked is a regular CHE. As far as I know, the only color they come in is white (which is what you linked).

I think it's just the picture on the box. It's an artist's conception of " heat waves " eminating from the CHE. I think...

I have seen jet black CHEs. They do not just come in white. It is just the color of the ceramic and it does emit heat and no light. Make sure when using a CHE that you use a ceramic based fixture and not one of the cheap aluminum office clip on lamps.

Thank you Shannon! I KNEW I saw red one and black ones. I just didn't want to end up with a red light again and have to return something else. :x As long as there is no light coming from it, I'm in.

Honestly I can't be the only person who had wondered about this. I assumed a CHE was a light with black coating on it and that's why I was so confused. I feel silly for asking. Thanks for being nice about it Shannon.

You are a good person to ask questions because that is how you are going to learn. A CHE is completely ceramic and only emits heat.
