So, I still haven't gotten a beardie yet, but am getting all the necessary supplies. Already got his viv, an exo-terra 36x18x18, am probably going to use non-adhesive shelf liner as a 'substrate', a reptisun 10.0 for uvb and a 75w Repti Basking Spot Lamp for the hot side. My question is, can I just get a CHE for the 'cool' side and just be sure that it stays around 85F all the time? Or do beardies need it cooler at night? I know they CAN go down to 65F at night, but that doesn't mean that they SHOULD, does it? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated

Beardies do need a normal temp drop at night, it mimics nature. We keep our CHE on a thermostat set at 68 degrees, if it drops below the CHE will kick on.

85 is kinda warm for a cool side. I like letting my cool sides be basically room temperature.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
