Chaos has a vet appt. on Wed.

Hi guys. As the subject states we're going to the vet on Wednesday. Chaos has been acting a little off, a little sleepy, not as hungry either. I was thinking brumation, but Chaos is only 6ish months old. Then I was reading a little about poo. Chaos has VERY stinky poo. Even if I catch it and clean it up right away we have to air out his viv. He can make the whole downstairs smell with one poo. So, is it brumation that is causing him to be sleepy? Or is he sleepy from the smelly poo(parasites)? This is why we are going to the vet. My reason for the post is that I have never had Chaos to the vet and I am unsure of what to expect. If it is parasites are their special things that I need to do? I read the caresheet "SUPPORTIVE CARE DURING TREATMENT for COCCIDIA and OTHER INTESTINAL PARASITES" It states that I need to have Acidophiliz+ to give him and it explained how to do it. But I have also read about people using soy yogurt. Can someone give me pros/cons? If this truely is the case and Chaos does have parasites or coccidia I want to be ready. I hate to be blind-sided with anything, so I need to be prepared!

Probably parasites Jen.
Ive never used soy yougurt, but I have used the other with good affect.
Take a sample from lucy as well and have it checked while you are there and If she has any parasites it can be treated at the same time.

OK thanks, so I will order the other stuff and take a Lucy poo in too. It will take a few days for that stuff to get here, do I wait until it gets here to use the meds from the vet?

We went to the vet this morning, it was a 45 minute drive there. Chaos does great in the car. This was my first visit to this vet. Since we had just moved here a few months back I wasn't in need of a vet until now. She was the closest herp vet around. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the vet seemed to know her stuff! I was very pleased. Chaos is 450 grams and 19ish inches long, and he is 7ish months old. So the verdict is that Chaos has Coccidia (did I spell that right) the vets exacts words was that he was "loaded" with them. The fecal float also showed pinworms! So we started the typical round of meds. He has to go back in 2 weeks and this time Lucy will be going with him.

Did I cause Chaos to get either the pinworms or the Coccidia? (Vet said it's probably been multiplying since I brought him home from Petsmart.)
Aside from cleaning the viv is there anything that I can do to prevent this in the future?
