Hi all,

I currently have sand in my vivs and I want to swap it to shelf liner,
Ive bought 2 different types because I wasnt sure about 1 kind but it looked cool.
I bought a roll of plain tan colored liner and a roll with a bamboo pattern on it.
My question is will the type with the pattern be ok in my viv?
I got them at Walmart, im just wondering if it will be ok in the heat.
Any help is appreciated, Thank you in advance

hi again! THanks for a response,
but Im still curious about the one with the pattern, I do like the look of it but I am just wondering if there is a glue holding the pattern on to the liner. Here is a pic of both liners I bought

photo-17.jpg

The top on is plain liner and the lower, rolled out one is of course the pattered one.
I like the pattern but like I said im still not really certain, they are not adhesive liner but Im just checking
Thanks for listening and if I could get more input that would be handy and appreciated.

Nicodemous,

Yup, those are fine to use. I have the patterened one for my leopard geckos! :) the solid one would be the best to use, since it will be a lot easier to clean than the one with little holes

Thank you, I just wanted to make certain, it will be nice to get rid of the sand.
Now I just need to figure out how I want to put everything back in. :)

Thank you again

Be careful with this. Not the best to keep clean on a daily basis and it is porous so germs can hide if the humidity is right. Easy breeding ground for parasites even if a small amount of poo is left.

Are you talking about the one with the holes in them? I agree that it doesn't seem to be the best substrate, and looks difficult to keep clean. The patterned one would be a good substrate, it says smooth surface I believe. I have had a smooth surface, clear shelf liner for a while now, and it's a breeze to keep clean, and maintain.
