Changing colors...

When I got my beardie he seemed to be standard colors, the guy I got him from was going through some rough times and told me that he had been living in a plastic tote with no heat or light other than what came in naturally through the windows for about two weeks. I have had him for almost 2 wks now with proper accomidations, but he seems to be turning colors. The area around his eyes is very yellow, almost like a mustard yellow and it just seems to be spreading. The color that is, their isn't anything funky growing on him or anything like that. Does anyone know if this is normal? :?

This is a link to the "feeding" discussion that has been going on about Scorch. It has all the details of diet, tank, and pictures. The pictures didn't turn out to great, though, kinda dark, so I am going to try and take some of him outside today. I don't have any of him before the color change, because it happened kind of drastically. He is a shoulder sitter last weekend I had a garge sale, he was sitting on my shoulder for a few hours in the sun, when I brought him back in the house is when I really noticed it.

Now, the laptop and I are hanging out by his tank and his "beard" has turned black. I know this is normal, but what does it mean? Did I tick him off or is this a happy thing?

Okay, did some reading, answered my own question....I think he caught a glimps of his own relflection cause he is all tail arched, strutin his stuff. Tellin' the world this is my domain reflection dragon....back off! LOL

Black bearding usually happens for a reason. Worst case scenario is he hurts.
Best case is that he is feeling his oats, and giving you the beard and "stink" eye, which means he isn't happy.

Did you get his temps all sorted out, once the play sand was installed ?
