I'd been feeding my beardie, Watson, crickets for three or four weeks. I hate the thing, they stink, escape, and bite him at night and so hard to catch. -.- I decided I'd try pheonix worms, giving they only need multivitamin dusted twice a week and are superior in calcium. I also read they were a natural weapon against coccidia.
He is pooping fine, not losing any weight. He has had diarrhea twice, both times when I had someone besides me (my dad, my grandma) take care of him. As soon as I return him to my care, the diarrhea stop and he poops normal again. Today I went in and while it was formed, it looked as if there was a bit of undigested squash in it. Should I wait and see if it returns to normal before rushing him to my vet?
We will be installing a ReptiSun 10.0 today. His basking temparatures are anywhere from 104-109 degrees fahrnenheit. He eats collard, mustard, and turnip green daily and a rotation of green beans and butternut squash. He gets a different type of fruit once a week. He is on reptile carpet, and I'm going to clean his cage today. Any advice?
