Change in behavior, is this normal?

So my girl is about 2 and a half years old now. She came out of her last brumation back in February. She was her normal self, basking eating, glass surfing, running around the house when she is out of her cage. Lately however she will be spend about 3 days behaving like that. Then she will spend about the next 3 days laying on the far end of the cage from her lamps, wont move, not eating, not glass surfing and when I take her out she just lays on me, doesn't get down and run around. After that she will go back to the previous behavior and keeps going back and forth every few days.

She has not had as many movements, I am guessing because of the days she does not eat. But when she does they look healthy. I have checked for impaction and have not found any. Nothing about her cage has changed, her basking area sits around 104 and the other side in the mid 80s. I check this with an infra-red thermometer. When she woke up I bought brand new bulbs for heat and uvb, so they are new. The uvb is a reptisun 10.0, and is not a coil.

Is this common as she has become an adult now, or is this something I should worry about.

i dont know much about female dragons but it could be from what it sounds like egg laying bahavior ( they can lay even if they havent been around any males)

how have her poops been ?? ( i know you checked for impaction but if its a parasite her poop would look different)

umm... have you changed the uv bulb recently ( they need to be changed every 6 months )

other than that not sure what else it could be other than her possibly slowing down because shes getting older.

Yea, I changed her UVB after she woke up from brumation in February. Her poops look like they normally do, haven't seen anything different about them. I haven't seen any digging behavior, I read that when they want to lay eggs they will do a lot of digging.

That's true ... hmm how are the Temps normal ?
I know my drayce likes to hide when he's too hot sometimes could be that she's just avoiding her spot due to a tempurature hike

Her temperatures are normal for what I have been keeping them at.

Sorry ... if your super worried about it though I'd suggest visiting a vet it always gives me peice of mind to do that better safe than sorry right ?

Hi. How do you check the temps? Also I just discovered my male is actually a female and she was doing the exact same behavior as yours. I thought "he " had pooped on my carpet ( let him out cuz of the glass dancing) and low and behold it was an egg. So you might want to get a lay box ready :lol:

I use the infra-red thermometer to check the temp. Oh boy yea I probably should get a new lay box ready. The last one we got set up for her, our cat decided that it was his litter box, meh.
