It looks a little skinny, but other than that, not near as bad shape as I expected. Glad you got it from your cat, and that you are taking care of it.
Good luck and keep us updated on the progress.

You nee to hydrate and fatten it as soon as posible give a warm bath evry week not to warm but up to its shoulders wen it settles in the tank drop some water on the leaves if you have a bottle rinse it out thourohly and put cool water in it and mist the tank you need to feedit super worms and waxworms give lots of lettuce and offer water in a shallow dish every day when it grows 3 to 4 more inches feed it pinkys .(baby mice)good luck hope he makes it! :D

Most of what the last poster wrote was incorrect. Never feed pinkies unless it's A: extremely malnutrious and an adult or B: a gravid female who is in serious need of fattening up. Lettuce is like giving green water, very very little nutrition. It's also much too small for superworms. Also most don't mist the cage or add a water dish because it raises humidity which can cause respitory infections.

I did notice that many websites say dont give it lettuce unless its romaine. How should I hydrate it then? Must I give it a bath weekly?

 Sorry, I keep thinking- Look what the cat drug in. And- Looks like something the cat drug in.

If that dragon is any example, the things your cat drags in look pretty good. Is he that gentle with everything? :D

I agree with the daily baths. Most dragons grow to love them. Never mist in the tank.
MegaRays are the greatest, but expensive. Order from ReptileUV.com. Or get a ReptiSUN 10.0 from petmountain.com. Beats the store prices. With the reptiSUN you will need a basking light. A 75watt bulb should do. May have to go to 100 watt. Fixtures from Wal Mart.
I love tile for the viv bottom, some use repticarpet, NO loose stuff (sand, crushed shells, etc) :study:

Anyone know the closest feeder store to St Louis? Closer means better shipping price. :D
Great price on that tank! :D Where are those deals when I need them?

Ghann's crickets have the best price for me in Louisville, so that may be best in St. Louis too, not sure.

Give your cat a hug for me, would you? That your cat would be that gentle with a beardie, it's wonderful. And also wonderful that you're keeping it. Good for you. Talk about a feline rescue! You'll get lots of good advice on this forum. We have 5 beardies and we keep our two youngest, who are 10 mo old, on newspaper, easy to clean up messes and replace. We use our local newspaper, fits perfectly in the tank. I feed squash (I just mince it up in a food processor), then cut up greens: I use mainly organic dandelion (from my backyard), organic collard greens and baby bok choy (I live near Vancouver, BC, Canada and don't get alot of good greens up here). The list at http://www.beautifuldragons.com (under nutrition) has a great list of the best veggies, greens to chop up and give your little one. I've found that making the salad into really small pieces helps interest them. Glad to hear he/she's eating crickets. He's going to need his crickets fed, there is great cricket food in pellets and I used to just add minced squash. Crickets seem to really like squash, apple, potato to munch on. They also need protein, which is where the pellets come in handy. Then the crickets feed your beardie and add nutrition. I give our beardies a bath daily, for those who poop in the tub, then clean & soak again. I also give them water from an oral syringe. Veggies and crickets that are fed add alot of water to the diet, too.

Beardies are alot of fun, ours really like to cuddle before they go to sleep. Individually, of course. So have lots of fun, there's always someone to ask questions of on this site. Welcom to bd.org!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
