Captain's Eye...opinions please :(

Hey guys. Back in November I noticed Captain's left eye looking a bit swollen in front and his eye was tearing up. I took him to the vet December 9 and the vet said he had an abscess. Vet proceeded to perform the treatment and prescribed some oral antibiotic and ointment for his eye. Went back the next week and vet said continue the medication. Last Friday the vet said it looked like there's still abscess so Captain went under treatment again. Captain has another appointment this Friday before the vet takes a month off. I'm not seeing any improvements to his eye yet. When he hunts crickets he has trouble because it seems like he can't see out of the eye. Here's some pictures I took today.

It's been like that after the treatment.

Front view - as you can see it's still swollen in front of the eye.

Has something like this happened to anyone's beardie? I don't really want to go to the vet every week just for him to tell me to continue the medication. That alone is $37.

Aw, poor little Captain. This has been like this since November ? I had a beardie with an infected eye....it was a hatchling that was scratched during the hatching process in the vermiculite by one of his siblings. It swelled up pretty badly and I had read online that unpasteurized honey was effective, so I tried it. I diluted a small amount with a few drops of warm water to make it easier to apply. I put it on 3X a day with a Q-tip, and a glob of pus came out in about 2 days, the swelling went down and I was amazed at how it worked, the eye looked normal within days. It's worth a try, but it must be unpasteurized, like from a health food store or beekeeper. If you do try it, make sure there are no loose crickets in the tank to attack the eye. Hopefully Captain can get better !

He might have scratched himself and then bacteria got in. I'll give the honey a shot. Is it ok to put it directly on the eye?

In addition to the honey <I agree with AHBD> you can use a warm moist tea bag on his eye to help also, its soothing and may help draw it. I would wait till hes ready to sleep and has settled down a bit. Wrap him in a warm blankie and lay him on your chest, once hes calm and almost asleep apply the tea bag for 5 mins. I would do this nightly along with the honey.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
