'Canned Answers'

Hello,

I was wondering if you knew of any capability to create/store 'canned' answers. In other words, you can make a preset message that can be posted easily. I know there are countless times when I'm typing up the same questions, explanations, etc that could be answered in about 1 second with such a feature. I've seen it on other forum engines (vbAdvanced) but haven't seen it on phpBB3, not sure if the feature (or if even a modification) exists, maybe you know more.

I haven't heard of it for phpBB. It's not a bad idea with limitations. I wouldn't want it to start to dominate how people are interacting, but could definitely be useful for a handful of common thing. But no... haven't seen that for phpBB.

I'd rather people just learn how to use the search function than for this forum to turn into one of those places that just has a generic answer for everything.

But to actually comment on the topic... I keep some of my basic replies/questions/advice in a MS Word file saved with a shortcut on my desktop so I can just copy & paste from there. Or if I'm on the forum from my phone then I'll just click the "View your posts" link and then search my own posts for keywords I'm looking for so I can quote my own posts then copy/paste them into a new reply. Not a perfect solution, but it works fairly smoothly for me.

Awww, thanks! I figured it was more appropriate since my dear little Monster girl has passed on, and who knows how many beardies I'll end up being "Mom" to... lots I hope! :love5:

If you are anything like me, it will be a few. We have quite a few in our home, heck I have three sweet girls sleeping next to me now.
