Hello
thank you for reading
I got a bearded dragon 1 month ago I believe he is about 7 months old.
-He sleeps almost all day.
-Eats two dubias a day.
-He has pooed three times in 1 month.
-He is alert when out of the tank and is a good weight.
-isn't aggressive and doesn't seem scared of me.
He is in a four foot wooden viv. I have just fitted an acadia 12% uvb bulb (previously a repti glo 8.0). No lose substrate. Temps are 105 basking area and 80 at the coolest point (measured with a temp probe that has been tested against a temp gun). He will eat two crickets a day or two dubia but only if they are hand fed to him. I offer dubias several times a day and occasionally offer crickets and locus and I offer veg everyday but he doesn't eat any. He will eat wax worms but I don't want him to become addicted. If I pick him up and put him on his basking stop he will stay there for a while but eventually climb down and go back to sleep. I have been bathing him twice a week and he seem to like that and perks up when I put him back in his tank on his basking spot. On a good day he might be awake for four hours on a bad day he'll sleep all day.
Could he be partially brumating for some reason even though it's spring here (uk) ? If he is should I just stop trying to get him to fed and leave him to it?
Any other ideas?
