Can someone please help me. I’ve had my beardie almost four months and I’ve loved every day. However over the last couple days I feel like I’m just noticing something about his eye. I don’t know and can’t remember if it’s always been like this or not and I don’t know if I should be worried. I feel like the eyes on Nugget look droopy or sunken in. I’ve posted about this before but I never felt at peace or had closure with the few responses I got. Here’s a picture

Hello, welcome, and I'm very glad that you're enjoying your new family member! They do have a way of getting into your heart!

His eyes look completely normal to me, they don't look at all "sunken", which is actually a very common symptom that we see on here all the time, as it's probably the first sign of dehydration. It's actually a very obvious symptom when it's present, the eyes look both sunken and "sleepy", and can also appear dark in color in the skin surrounding the eyes. But your guy's eyes are not at all sunken or "sleepy" looking, the skin surrounding them is not at all dark in color, and his eyes themselves look very bright, wide, and healthy.

If there is a sign or symptom other than "sunken" that you're concerned about, or if you can describe it in a more specific way, I'd be happy to take another look for you, but as far as I can tell he looks perfectly healthy and happy.

Thank you, I was just concerned that his eyes may look droopy or sunken in. I love my little guy(or girl, idk yet) so so much. I had wanted a beardie for three years and I finally got one. I’m always doing my best to take care of Nugget and I had started to worry that something was wrong with him. But I’m glad to hear that his eyes look ok and normal. That is a massive relief! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I totally understand. He looks very healthy and happy. And if you have any other questions about anything else, like your husbandry, his diet, etc. just ask, we're more than willing to help.

Also, if you want to know his sex you can post a photo and we can probably tell you directly. All you need to do is put him on a flat surface on all four feet, turn him around, and arch his tail way over his back towards his head, just like a "Happy Dog", and then take a close photo from behind him of his vent area, specifically the area on the bottom of his tail right above his vent

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
