Can someone in Northern MN or WI Rescue a Craigslist Beardie

I'm not sure if this belonged in the rescue train thread or if it's ok to make a new thread for it but I just came across one of those heartbreaking Craigslist listings for a Beardie in St. Micheal Minnesota.

Being kept in a storage bin!
Obviously filthy sand substrate
Beardie looks filthy as well and rather skinny.

This little guy is about 4-5 hours north of us (in the southern twin cities) and my boyfriend insists on pointing out that we really don't have room for another proper size viv (which I can't help but admit is true) but I am just torn up about this little guy suffering in those conditions. Is there ANYONE around this area who has room for a beardie? I'd be happy to contribute $50 or so to help cover his "price" though the owner might be able to be bargained down or something.

He really needs someone to help him.

Oh wow ! poor baby ! I'm with Lance on that one. If I were closer I would have jewed the fellow down to giving me the dragon, and parted company for a happy long existence. Hope someone comes by from the North and sees this. I know there was someone looking for a dragon up that way..... Fingers crossed !

I'm actually close to St. Micheal but don't have the space to keep him. If someone wanted to arrange it, I would be willing to pick him up and ship him. I can help out on the shipping cost.

I really don't want him to catch wind of the fact we are "rescuing" the beardie as insulting someone isn't the best way to begin a transaction. I was thinking that because we don't want any of the "stuff" he might take $50 for him. Then it's a matter of paying for shipping.

I'm still willing to volunteer the $50 a mentioned above just to see this little guy in a loving home... that's pushing my budget though so I don't think I can contribute much more.

Well my face is red....

When my guy and I were driving home from a family reunion up by Alexandria we drove through Albertville and I noticed that the water tower said "Albertvill - St. Michael". So I said to Matt (my significant other) "Ummmm that water tower said St. Michael. I wonder if we had the WRONG St. Michael"

So I just got home and looked up the area code on the phone number and sure enough... that's the St. Michael he meant. I probably would have assumed that in the first place but when you go to google maps and search for St. Michael MN the only result you get is the one North of Duluth! WTF.

So in short... Distinctive Dragons thank you SO MUCH for the kind offer but I'm actually close enough to pick the little guy up myself. I could then give him a good meal and a bath and send him on to you "twobeardieguy" ... if you're still interested of course.

Sorry for the confusion on that... guess I shouldn't trust google maps so much
