Can o' Crickets

I have been seeing these at pet stores, such as Petco and Petsmart. Dead crickets with the natural juices locked into them, and it claims that they are safe to feed to reptiles.

Have you tried these on your bearded dragons? Do they eat them, or do you think they would?

I used them in a pinch on top of salad & my dragon ate them.. Just beware, the odor is FOUL!! I have a pretty strong stomach but my boyfriend got a waft & almost lost his lunch.. They also don't stay fresh for long. Totally not worth it, IMO.

I've seen them, never used them though. I don't think they would just eat them without other things to persuade them to do so. Putting them ontop of a salad would be something you could do.

Thank you for the help everyone. I got a can for my bearded dragon, and she ate a test one, before I put some live crickets in there. I just had to test them out, because I am relocating to my father's house soon, and he may not be tolerant to crickets chirping, so this is how I don't have to buy crickets every day for them to eat. They usually feed on superworms, but the 6 month old gets picky sometimes--sometimes, she likes certain foods, then she doesn't. She needs to be switched up on her foods very often. Then the older one, he gobbles up whatever you put into his cage.

Moose LOVES them, everyone talks about the foul smell but honestly they're not too bad (canned cat food is MUCH worse). I always top Moose's salad's off with them....I would like to try some freeze dried ones though, I've heard they are better for them and they last alot longer since they won't spoil...

Also don't forget to keep the canned ones in the fridge after you open them, Moose will never eat the crickets that are on the bottom of the can, haha I have no clue why but he doesn't like those ones!
