We just adopted a female. I think my male can smell her on me. Does that sound far fetched? First time I picked him up after holding her his beard became jet black and he started head bobbing. He hasn't stopped yet and it's been over 24 hours. His beard has stayed black and he head bobs very fast off and on all day. How long will this last?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they can smell/sense eachother. It's a good idea to keep them as separated as possible and to wash your hands well between handling each of them. I'm not sure how long your male dragon will be acting up but if kept separate he will likely calm down after a while.

Thanks So much. We're definitely keeping them separated. I didn't think to make sure my hands were good and washed. Heck I'll even changed my shirt if that will help. My male has calmed down somewhat.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
