Hello, I know not to use pine or cedar in BDs' direct habitat (substrate, driftwood, etc..), however I've had some Home Depot pine in-between the bottom of the tank and the travertine stone. The BD has no direct contact with the wood however it is still in his habitat. Could this be harmful? Also, I was wondering if travertine stone is safe to use? Thanks everyone. Glad to be a member since I've already gotten so much info off this site.

It would be better just to put paper towel under the tiles instead.

Although, I don't think it would cause a problem as long as the dragon can't get to the pine and the tile totally covers it. But then again, I wouldn't risk it.

Thanks Brandon, I think I'll switch to birch here in a few weeks for the beardie's benefit and mine, as I believe I get a slight allergic reaction when I handle the pine.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
